SpeechExec migration

Bring your dictation workflow forward

Practical help from DictaMic, from discovery through team training

DictaMic helps map your current SpeechExec process, qualify equipment and dependencies, configure a suitable SpeechLive evaluation and introduce your attorneys and staff to it. Start with the work that needs to continue.

TRANSITION DISCOVERY

A practical transition, with your team

We map the handoff, check the dependencies, test with a small group and help your staff learn the chosen workflow. Your existing environment stays part of the plan.

CURRENT ENVIRONMENT

SpeechExec

Desktop or qualified on-premise workflows can include local worklists, folders, delivery routes, devices, licenses and recognition configurations.

TARGET TO EVALUATE

SpeechLive

Cloud account roles, supported browser, mobile and Desktop App routes, current plans, devices and integrations require separate qualification.

  1. 01

    Map the current environment

Identify the SpeechExec edition, users, roles, devices, routes and dependencies in use.

  2. 02

    Define the target result

Choose the workflow and output the organization needs before selecting products or plans.

  3. 03

    Classify every dependency

Decide what must remain, be recreated, be replaced, be archived or receive separate evidence.

  4. 04

    Test before wider rollout

Validate capture, routing, correction, review, hardware and training with a controlled group.

Start with the system you have

Tell us the SpeechExec edition, roles, approximate user count, device models and desired timing. DictaMic helps map recording, folders, delivery, document destinations and review responsibilities before recommending a target workflow. SpeechExec remains suitable for some teams; a move is not automatically necessary.

SpeechExec Pro has separate Windows dictation and transcription modules, with qualified recorder download, worklists and local-network, email, FTP or SpeechLive delivery. SpeechExec Enterprise has centrally managed users, licences, settings and server or virtualization dependencies. SpeechLive uses cloud account roles and supported browser, mobile and Desktop App routes with their own requirements.

  • AI-assisted transcription: record with Pro; your typist uses Pro plus SpeechAI legal recognition, checks the text and finishes the document.
  • SpeechLive Legal Direct: turn live speech or recordings into text, with attorney or assistant checking.
  • Legal AI Assistant: add a selected-template legal draft, with qualified review and attorney approval.

Compare solution prices and conditions. DictaMic confirms account configuration, users and any separately charged hardware, transcription or services before quoting.

Preserve what must remain available

Do not assume users, permissions, audio, history, job status, folders, templates, settings, licences, entitlements, documents or metadata will move automatically. Classify each dependency: retain, recreate, replace, separately archive or export through an evidenced route. Establish who owns the archive and what the team must still be able to retrieve.

Philips documents qualified manual and automatic uploads through the SpeechLive Desktop App. It warns against running that app and SpeechExec simultaneously because of possible upload conflicts. An upload route is not a complete migration.

Check devices, recognition and integrations

Existing microphones, recorders, docking stations and foot controls require an exact model, client and operating-system check. Equipment that works with SpeechExec does not automatically support every SpeechLive route.

Existing Dragon products, speech profiles and correction configurations require separate qualification; no transfer is assumed. Named integrations, network folders, email, FTP and document or practice systems need an individual plan. Include the appropriate security and privacy review.

Test, train and agree the transition

Configure a controlled test group. Check capture, assignment, playback, correction, review and completion; train the people involved, then agree any wider rollout after the results and internal approvals. This page does not promise a fixed schedule or outcome.

Discuss general business information only. Do not provide recordings, documents, patient or legal-matter details, credentials, passwords, licence keys, account secrets or confidential system diagrams. A consultation does not establish compatibility, compliance or an automatic-transfer guarantee.

Plan the next step

Build an evidence-led transition plan

Share only the current system category, roles, approximate user-count range, hardware and target timing. Do not provide recordings, documents, patient or legal-matter details, credentials, license keys or sensitive system information.
