You record. SpeechAI transcribes. Your typist finishes.
Philips SpeechLive software, with setup and workflow guidance from DictaMic.
Your author records and sends the work. Your typist uses SpeechAI legal speech recognition to turn the recording into text, then checks and finishes the document. The author gives final approval.
Keep dictating. Give your typist text to work with.
SpeechAI creates editable text from the recording. Your typist checks and finishes it in your firm’s format.

With SpeechAI
Same recording → editable text
Dear Mr. Harris, regarding the settlement offer we discussed yesterday, our client is willing to accept forty-five thousand dollars provided payment is received within thirty days.
Start with text already there Convert → check against the audio. Correct → finish.
Your team keeps control. Check names, amounts and instructions, apply your firm’s format, then obtain attorney approval.
Fictional, manually prepared illustration—not actual product output or guaranteed formatting. Illustrative name correction: Haris → Harris. Both paths require review and approval.
See an illustrative text-entry comparison
For the same illustrative 3,600 words: typing at 60 words/minute takes 60 minutes; voice entry at 150 words/minute takes 24 minutes. That is a 36-minute difference, or 60% less initial text-entry time in this model.
You already provide the recording. The 24 minutes represents voice entry under the stated assumption, not your team’s checking or finishing time. This excludes correction, formatting and approval; it is not measured customer savings or AI processing time.
Capture work where you are. Use the supported mobile app or browser, or upload a supported recording from your recorder.
Make the assignment clear. Send to the assistant or team configured for you, and flag urgent dictations with a priority.
See progress in one place. Track the status of your recordings and find completed work in SpeechLive.
For assistants
Find the next job. Sort and filter assigned recordings in the worklist, with priorities and progress visible.
Start with recognized text. Use SpeechAI legal speech recognition to transcribe the recording. Listen back and correct names, figures and wording before completing the document.
Return the document with the job. Finish text in SpeechLive’s editor or attach your word-processor file, then mark the work complete.

Is SpeechAI the same as Legal AI Assistant?
No. In this team setup, SpeechAI provides legal speech recognition: it turns a recording into text for your typist to check. Legal AI Assistant adds drafting organized around a selected template and is a different package.
What if we have several authors or typists?
The example price covers one author and one typist. Tell us your team size so we can confirm licences and recognition usage. Recognition is subject to fair use; this is not an unlimited shared pool for all authors. See usage conditions.
Who receives each attorney’s recordings?
An Administrator or Office Manager connects recording users (Authors) with assistants (Typists), individually or as a team. The configured relationships determine which jobs an assistant can access. Philips assignment guidance.
How does the assistant return a document?
Text prepared in SpeechLive’s built-in editor can be finished there without attaching a file. When using another word processor, attach a supported document to the job and finish it. Each job holds one transcription attachment; replacing it overwrites the previous file. Philips transcription guidance.
Can we use our existing equipment?
DictaMic checks the exact model, operating system and SpeechLive app before recommending how to record, upload or control playback. A supported foot control can help the assistant manage playback while typing. Equipment compatibility details.
What if we need a connection to another system?
Tell DictaMic which system you use and what you want to transfer. Available integrations depend on the product, plan and configuration. Explore integration requirements.
